Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic as well as Ilkay Silk, who is an actress as well as a producer, director and educator, playwright and director of drama in St. Thomas University. Her father is from Britain and her mother is the "Turkish ex-pat from Cyprus who is now living in England." Anna's earliest memories involve attending rehearsals for plays as well as watching her mother's work. She appeared in many commercials in her early years.
