Lucy Liu is an American actress voice actress director producer, and singer. She's attractive and talented actress who has helped many Asian actors to make it in Hollywood. Her early success was boosted by her appearance on several popular television show. There, she portrayed the villainous Ling Woo. The fame she gained from the show was translated into films roles like Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. She gave a stellar performance in the role of Japanese gangster O-Ren Ishii (Quentin Tarantino) in Kill Bill Volume 1 by Quentin Tarantino. During this time she also acted as the lead in several flops at the box office including Rise: Blood Hunter. Later, she became a voice actress for animated films including Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason from Cashmere Mafia was an unimportant role which did not have any effect. An appearance in the critically-acclaimed police drama Southland has helped her regain recognition as a prominent actress. Liu chooses her roles with care to avoid becoming typecast in this competitive industry. Although she is proud of her heritage, she does not let that limit her creativity.
