Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy (born April 16th, 1996) was born in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker. Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychology student. Her father was an Argentine with Scottish and English roots. The mother of Taylor-Joy is Spanish and has English roots. Taylor-Joy has four siblings from her father's prior marriage. They lived at Buenos Aires until she was six then relocated to the Victoria part of London. Taylor-Joy claims that the move to London was traumatic and she did not learn English in order to prevent returning to Argentina. Her school had to change from Northlands and then Hill House. After that, she went to Queen's Gate School in London, where she took ballet classes as well as participated in drama productions. When she was 16, she quit school in order to pursue acting as a career. At a very young age, Taylor-Joy knew that she wanted to become an actress and her dreams came true when she was given a modeling job by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
